About Us

History:

We are excited to be heading into our 14th season of providing competitive club volleyball for the Austin and Hays County area! Originally founded as Texas Shock 2009, we had many years of success. Recent Texas Shock accomplishments include a 2017 AAU National Championship and a silver medal in the 2019 Girls Junior National Championships. Texas Shock players have been invited to train in the USAV High Performance programs, and many have continued their volleyball career at the collegiate level. Texas Shock was founded by Director Mike Beltz, who remains the Director of CTX Juniors.

CTX Juniors is looking forward to bringing a new high level of training and many exciting opportunities for our players!

Our Philosophy:

At CTX Juniors, it is important that all level of coaches understand that we must develop that whole athlete.  Our philosophy centers around athlete first and winning second.  We believe winning is important, but of even greater importance, is providing opportunities for athletes to grow, to develop mentally, as well as; physically and to enjoy the experience.

It is important to CTX Juniors that our athletes not only grow in volleyball fundamentals, but that they take with them lessons that will last a lifetime.  We push to build confidence, self- worth, character, and discipline. We believe that incorporating these qualities in our program provides our athletes with the tools needed not only for success on the volleyball court, but success in life.

CTX Juniors will work to elevate our athlete’s individual and team skills through emphasis on competitive spirit, sportsmanship, responsibility, and commitment.  Our goal is to prepare athletes and provide the direction necessary for them to compete at their full potential in one of the toughest games they will ever play …. LIFE.  Here at CTX Juniors we are firm believers that being committed to compete will provide for success on and off the volleyball court.
